Admission requirements

Be a holder of K.C.S.E Mean Grade of C+ (plus) and above, with at least a C+ (plus) in Mathematics and C (plain) in any two of the following alternatives;
i. Chemistry
ii. Physics/Physical Sciences
iii. Biology/Biological Sciences
OR; Be a holder of a relevant diploma with a Credit pass.

Programme description

The program takes a minimum of four (4) academic years where an academic year consists of two (2) semesters.

  1. Employ fundamental computer theory, in the context of Computer Security and Forensics practices
  2. Interpret and appropriately apply the laws and procedures associated with identifying, acquiring, examining and presenting digital evidence
  3. Apply available security and forensic tools in a way that optimizes the efficiency and quality of security audit and forensic investigation
  4. Evaluate the computer network and information security needs of an organization
  5. Develop solutions for security and forensic problems while balancing business concerns, technical issues and security
  6. Apply knowledge and skills in the area of computer security and forensics, its application and supporting technologies
