Message from the Dean

Welcome to the School of Computing and Informatics (SCI). In Line with the University Motto “Foundation of Innovations”, the School of Computing and Informatics has been established to grant our students a well-structured opportunity to explore their studies in the field of Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, Information Science and Media studies.

The School of Computing and Informatics therefore offers market-driven programs in Computing, Data Science, Information Technology, and Media Studies. Besides the standard university programs cutting across bachelor degrees, masters and doctorate programmes, the School offers other specialized short and professional courses. These include but not limited to CCNA, ICDL, Huawei and CCTV installation among others.

Given its dynamic and versatile nature, the School is home to more than 1700 active students and has had over 1000 graduates since its inception. It offers eight (8) undergraduate programs, three masters’ programmes and two PhD programmes spread across its three departments of Computer Science, Information Technology and Information and Media studies. We therefore welcome you to join us and enjoy a quintessential experience at SCI.
